Carindale Property Trust
Carindale Property Trust (ASX Code: CDP) was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1996. As at 30 June 2006 the Trust had a market capitalisation of $270 million.
The Trust's sole investment is a 50% interest in Westfield Carindale, Brisbane's largest regional shopping centre at 113,308 square metres.
Westfield Carindale generates sales of $582 million through its two department stores, two discount department stores, three supermarkets and 281 specialty retailers. The adjoining Home & Leisure Centre comprises a further seven retailers.
Carindale Property Trust has announced its first full year result under the Australian Equivalents to International Financial Reporting Standards (AIFRS), reporting a net profit of $82.9 million for the year ending 30 June 2006. Excluding the revaluation increment and other AIFRS adjustments profit was $16.1 million which represents an increase of 8.4% on the previous corresponding period.
